The 21st International Congress of the Polish Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy is a prestigious scientific event that traditionally takes place every three years. It attracted specialists in the field of anaesthesiology and intensive therapy from all over the country to Pomerania.
From September 12th to 14th, anaesthetists and anaesthetic nurses were able to exchange experiences at the headquarters of the Gdańsk Philharmonic, not only in the field of perioperative medicine and care for critically ill patients, but also on the topics of resuscitation and pain management.
As a partner of the event, INNERGO presented the specialized medical software Digistat by the renowned manufacturer Ascom. The presentation of the program dedicated to intensive care units and operating theaters aroused great interest among the participants of the event.
In addition, in cooperation with our partner Samsung, we demonstrated modern mobile devices with access to the Digistat system and presented the possibilities of remote patient monitoring on a collective screen.
We are pleased with the growing awareness that in those departments where highly specialized medical equipment such as cardiac monitors, respirators or anesthesia machines are used, there is a real need to support anesthesiologists and nurses through a dedicated system. A system that will help in making clinical decisions, which will map and at the same time speed up the workflow, also in the scope of completing medical records.
Hospital information systems (HIS) such as AMMS, Opti-Med, Clininet or Eskulap, which are successfully used in other hospital departments, are not sufficient for intensive care units and operating theaters.
Among other things, they lack the ability to integrate with existing specialized equipment in intensive care units (which also requires appropriate software certification). The Digistat system, distributed by INNERGO, not only integrates with such highly specialized medical devices, but can also receive and send data to existing hospital systems.
In short, it gives anesthetists the tools to focus on providing the best possible treatment for their patients, while allowing hospital management to be confident that the continuity of the facility’s medical records is maintained. The high certification of Digistat in class II b according to the Medical Devices Act of April 7, 2022, also assures all parties that they are acting in accordance with the law.
As an official partner of Ascom, INNERGO offers hospitals comprehensive support in the implementation of Digistat medical software. Taking into account the specific needs and challenges faced by intensive care units and operating theaters, we offer pre-implementation analysis and substantive support throughout the process.
